Junior SW QA Engineer

About the Role

The SW QA Engineer (Junior) will join our QA team and play an active role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software releases. This role combines both manual and automation testing activities and offers hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle. You will work closely with experienced engineers and stakeholders, gaining practical exposure while contributing to high-quality product delivery and an excellent customer experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts and checklists
  • Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing
  • Create and maintain test documentation and testing procedures
  • Track testing activities, rollout progress, and reporting
  • Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools
  • Work with technical specialists to develop and improve automated testing tools and methodologies
  • Execute regression testing prior to releases
  • Assist in validating and approving software changes before production deployment
  • Provide support and feedback to the Business Analysis and QA teams
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to analyze and resolve defects

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of QA methodologies and software testing principles
  • Basic Linux usage and networking knowledge
  • Knowledge of bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira)
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language (written and verbal)

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Basic scripting knowledge and understanding of automation concepts
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Playwright)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills
  • Strong problem-solving and task management abilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently and work in a fast-paced environment
