About the Role
We are hiring a Hardware QA Engineer to work on mission-critical telecommunications systems used in defence and homeland security environments.
This is not a routine QA role. You will be directly involved in validating complex hardware systems and troubleshooting real-world failures.
What You’ll Do
- Execute hardware and system-level test plans for telecom systems (GSM / UMTS / LTE)
- Perform debugging and root cause analysis across components and full systems
- Validate systems during production and pre-deployment phases
- Develop scripts/tools (e.g., Python) to support test automation and efficiency
- Analyze field issues and support on-site deployments when required
- Collaborate closely with hardware, RF, and software engineers to resolve issues
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar
- Hands-on experience or strong academic background with relevant projects/internships in hardware testing or troubleshooting
- Understanding of telecommunications systems (GSM, UMTS, LTE) or related wireless/networking technologies
- Ability to debug hardware/system failures and identify root causes
- Ability to read and understand schematics and system-level diagrams
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Basic scripting skills (Python) or willingness to develop automation capabilities
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Additional Requirements
- Willingness to travel internationally on an occasional basis when required
- Availability for occasional off-hours support in critical situations
- Ability to perform in high-pressure environments
